Systems Administrator

 Daily Responsibilities

  • Provide server and software support on internal and customer projects.
  • Provide firewall, networking and security support to internal and customer projects.
  • Maintain company hardware assets, architecture and inventory, including procurement, deployment and upgrades.
  • Manage company daily Backups, patching, security hardening of servers and perform
  • remediation of discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain images for Disaster Recovery and define and test Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Monitor network, internet and email usage and ensure that they are in line with the company’s policies.
  • Escalate and Report Support Incidents to Project Team or Third-Party Suppliers (necessary).
  • Update IT systems documentation accordingly.
  • Provide support during office hours and outside office hours, for Internal and Customer
  • Support Incidents (based on provided training).
  • Ensure adherence to Agreed timeframes and Service Levels on assigned workload.
  • To keep support cases up to date in the company’s ticketing system.

Required skills

  • A good working attitude showing enthusiasm, commitment, respect for others and willingness to go the extra Mile
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English.
  • An aptitude for software development.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to improve and acquire new skills.
  • M365 Azure experience
  • 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Already based in Malta.
